Building plans are your clients’ data. This page says what FireRule.ai keeps, where, for how long, and when a plan can leave the server. Wording version 1 of the cloud-reading choice.
What is stored
- Your chats: the messages, the building details Flare collected, and the reports it made.
- The plans you upload, as files, and what the reader learned from them: the text it read, the tables, and small pictures of the parts it read (so Flare can show you where a value came from).
- Your account, if you make one: your email and a salted hash of your password (never the password itself), and sign-in sessions.
- Without an account, a random key kept in your browser links your chats to you.
- Counts and timings for running the service (how many requests, how long they took). They hold no plan text or chat text.
Where
On the FireRule.ai server’s disk, in the region the service is hosted. Plans and chats are not used to train any model and are not shared with other users. Staff can see a chat only when you report a problem with a reply or ask for a review.
When a plan can leave the server
Plans are read on the server first (text in the PDF or CAD file, and text recognition that runs there). Only if you choose “Allow for this chat” can parts of a plan be sent to a cloud service to read what the server could not:
- Google Cloud Vision reads the text on pages or table pictures the server could not read well.
- Google Gemini looks at page pictures to find the area tables and reads their cells.
- The chat model (Groq or Google Gemini) receives your messages and short extracts of what the reader found, never whole plans.
If you choose “Don’t allow”, no plan leaves the server; only what can be read there is used, and you can type the details yourself. You can change the choice at any time in the chat. Each chat records when you chose and which wording you saw. A daily allowance limits how many pages one person can send.
How long
Until you delete them. Deleting a chat removes its messages, details, reports, uploaded plans and the reader’s saved memory of them. Deleting a single file removes it and its memory. Deleting your account removes every chat that belongs to it. The operator can also set the server to delete chats that nobody has opened for a set number of days (it is off unless the operator turns it on). Backups of the disk are kept for a limited time and are deleted on a schedule.
Your choices
- Say no to cloud reading, per chat.
- Share a chat as a read-only link that ends on the date you choose, and withdraw it at any time. A link shows the building details, messages and reports, never your plans.
- Delete a chat, a file, or your whole account from the app.
- Download everything held for you (chats, building details, where each value was read from, your plans and reports) with “Download my data” on the account page.
- Ask the operator for deletion or for help with your data.
